Professional lightweight 2K body repair putty

Product Description

Chit Light is a creamy, medium-viscosity, two-component polyester putty with approximately 30% reduced specific weight. The lightweight formulation ensures easier sanding while providing a smooth and fully closed surface.

It offers universal adhesion on steel, aluminium, galvanized substrates, GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic) and wood.

Is this product for professional use only?

Yes. This polyester putty is designed exclusively for professional use and should be applied using proper body repair techniques.

What is the mixing ratio?

The mixing ratio is 100 parts putty to 2 parts hardener (by weight). Exceeding the recommended amount of hardener may cause surface whitening.

What is the pot life?

Approximately 4–5 minutes at 20°C. Lower temperatures may extend curing time.

When can it be sanded?

At 20°C it can be sanded after 20–25 minutes. At 60°C, sanding is possible after 5–10 minutes.

Which sanding paper is recommended?

For rough sanding use P150–P240 (dry). For finishing use P240–P360 (dry).

On which substrates can it be applied?

It can be applied on steel, aluminium, galvanized substrates, GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic) and wood, provided the surface is properly prepared and degreased.

Can it be applied over reactive primers?

No. The putty must not be applied directly over reactive primers or thermoplastic products.

What are the storage conditions and shelf life?

Store in sealed containers in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Shelf life: Putty – 12 months, Hardener – 18 months from production date.
