Details

The C.A.R.FIT MattShield is a special 2K acrylic matte clear coat designed to protect water-based and solvent-based base coats. It delivers a uniform, durable matte finish resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. Various gloss levels can be achieved by adding C.A.R.FIT HS/MS clear coats: fully matte (100% MattShield), satin matte (75% MattShield + 25% HS/MS clear coat), and semi-gloss matte (66% MattShield + 33% HS/MS clear coat). The mixing ratio is 2:1 with hardener and 10% thinner. Apply with a 1.2-1.3 mm nozzle and 2 bar pressure. Two coats are recommended, with a thickness of 40-50 μm, allowing a 5-10 minute flash-off between coats. Air drying is dust-free in 10-15 minutes and fully dry in 12 hours.
