Details

The SpeedCoat 8-814 is a fast-drying, VOC-compliant 2K polyurethane clear coat, designed for small and medium repairs. It has a 2:1 mixing ratio with Fast Performance Hardener, available in fast and slow options, and can be optimized with 0-5% Uni Thinner if necessary. For application, 1.5-2 coats are recommended at a thickness of 40-60 μm. No flash-off time is needed for 1.5 coats, while a 5-10 minute flash-off is recommended for 2 coats. The HVLP spray gun setup requires a 1.2-1.3 mm nozzle and 2-2.5 bar pressure. Air drying is dust-free in 20 minutes (with fast hardener) and fully cured in 60-90 minutes, while baking at 60°C achieves full curing in 10-15 minutes. Coverage is 9.6 m²/L at a 50 μm dry film thickness.
