Product Description:
IMPARUST is a fast-drying rust-preventive primer that adheres well to iron surfaces and can be overcoated with any finish except epoxy products. Suitable for industrial use.

Technical Specifications:

• Color: Oxide Red-Grey
• Binder Property: Linseed-Wood-Phenolic
• Dry Film Finish: Matte
• Density: 1.54 kg/l (± 0.02)
• Viscosity: 10000 ÷ 15000 mPa.s (Brookfield)
• Coverage: 3 ± 5 m²/kg in two coats (calculated based on recommended thickness for smooth and regular surfaces)
• Storage Stability: 12 months in intact packaging

Note: Data measured at 20°C.

Application Method:

• Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is dry, degreased, and free from dust, rust, and old paint. Sandblasting is recommended but not required.
• Product Preparation: Mix thoroughly until color and consistency are uniform.
• Application Method:
  • Air-spray gun: 1.4 ÷ 1.7 mm nozzle diameter at 3 ÷ 4 atm pressure.
  • Airless application
• Dilution: 20 ÷ 25% with DILUENTE NITRO ANTINEBBIA (Item No. 1616)
• Recommended Thickness: 70 ÷ 80 µm dry

Air Drying (at 20°C):

• Dust-Free: 10 minutes
• Handle-Free: 60 minutes
• Fully Dry: 6 ÷ 8 hours
• Recoatable: after 4 hours
