The SPEEDLAK 1389 is an ultra-fast drying UHS acrylic clear coat that provides long-lasting gloss, resists yellowing, and has a low VOC content. It is applied in two layers over various basecoats, ideal for quick jobs.

Details

The SPEEDLAK 1389 is a high-quality, two-component UHS acrylic clear coat that provides ultra-fast drying and long-lasting gloss. Application involves two coats with a 5-10 minute flash-off time between layers, and a recommended dry thickness of 45-50 μm. The optimal mixing ratio by volume is 2 parts clear coat, 1 part hardener, and up to 10% thinner. Use an HTE or HVLP spray gun with a nozzle size of 1.2-1.4 mm and a pressure of 2.0-2.5 bar. When air-dried, it becomes dust-free after 15 minutes, handleable in 1 hour, and fully cures in 3 hours, while it cures in 15 minutes in an oven.
