What does true 2K clear coat spray mean?

It means the product contains two components: clear coat and hardener. The hardener is stored separately inside the can and mixes with the clear coat after activation, creating a more durable finish than a standard 1K aerosol.

How long can the can be used after activation?

After activation, the product should be used within approximately 10 hours. After this time, the curing process starts inside the can and the product will no longer perform properly.

Can it be used over metallic or pearl basecoats?

Yes. Metallic and pearl basecoats must be finished with clear coat. This 2K SprayMax glossy clear coat is suitable when a durable, high-gloss and resistant finish is required.

Is the clear coat petrol resistant?

Yes, the coating is petrol and solvent resistant. Full solvent resistance develops after approximately 8–14 days at 20°C.

How long does it take to dry?

Full drying takes approximately 12 hours. Drying time may vary depending on temperature, humidity, layer thickness and ventilation.

How many coats should be applied?

Apply the clear coat in several thin, even layers. Allow 3–7 minutes flash-off time between coats, depending on the ambient temperature.

What should I check before use?

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and silicone. Shake the can thoroughly before and after activation. A test spray is recommended before applying to the final surface.
